SINGAPORE - The 2011 GCE A-level results were announced today at 2.30pm.
A total of 14,262 candidates sat the exam last year, of which 12,943 (90.8 per cent) scored at least three H2 passes, with a pass in General Paper (GP) or Knowledge and Inquiry (KI).
The number of percentage passes remained unchanged from the previous year.
Among the top performing students for the cohort this year are Desmond Toh and Khor Shi-Jie from Hwa Chong Institution. They obtained a total of 9 distinctions at 13 academic units (AUs).
Over half of the 1200 students who took the A-levels last year at HCI scored at least three H2 distinctions, with more than 200 students scoring seven distinctions and better.
