Job 10:20 "Are not my days few? Cease! Leave me alone, that I may take a little comfort . . ."
Dear Brothers n Sisters,
When we feel most discouraged and worn out, we may wish that GOD would just "leave us alone" - but thank GOD, HE never does. HE promises us, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Heb 13:5).
Let us praise our LORD for HIS faithfulness and mercy.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

The Consequences of Sin
Genesis 3:14-19
14 So the LORD GOD said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
Cursed are you above all livestock
    and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
    and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
    between you and the woman,
    and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush[ your head,
and you will strike his heel.”
16 To the woman HE said,
I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labour you will give birth to children.
Your desire will be for your husband,
and he will rule over you.”
17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’
Cursed is the ground because of you;
through painful toil you will eat food from it
all the days of your life.
18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you
and you will eat the plants of the field.
19 By the sweat of your brow
    you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
    since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Christians tend to categorize sins, rating some as small and inconsequential, but others as huge and far-reaching in the damage they cause. In reality, no one sins in isolation. Each disobedient to GOD affects not only the sinner but also countless others in both the present and the future.
If we were to separate Adam and Eve's sin from its context, few of us would convict them of great transgression. All they did was swallowing some fruit from a tree with a "do not eat" sign. Today people think nothing of ignoring commands—even biblical ones.
But GOD has a totally different view of our sins. Each one (sin) is followed by negative consequences. Adam and Eve's disobedience led to pain and frustration in two basic areas of fulfilment—relationships and meaningful work. The whole earth fell under sin's curse, and every person born since then has entered the world with a sin nature that alienates each one from the LORD.
That first rebellion plunged humanity into a terrible condition. Civilization is now plagued by countless ramifications of the innumerable sins committed by human beings throughout the ages. Is it any wonder the world is in such sad shape? Sin not only causes suffering; it robs us of GOD's best. The Garden of Eden is closed and locked to sinful mankind.
The good news of CHRIST's grace and forgiveness is our only real hope in this fallen world. Though unpleasant, focusing on sin's consequences is necessary at times to remind us of the greatness of our salvation and to move us to obey GOD, even in the small things. Each obedient is huge to HIM.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

The Source of Jealousy
Galatians 5:17-21
17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the SPIRIT, and the SPIRIT what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the SPIRIT, you are not under the law.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of GOD.
Most likely, you have been caught off guard by a wave of jealousy at some point in your life. Was it a spiritual attack? Did the Enemy make you covetous? Was someone or something working to make you resentful?
The answer—which may surprise you— is no. Jealousy actually springs from within us, even though we might try to deflect the blame. For example, we may say, "Well, they just shouldn't have that. They don't deserve it, so I'm perfectly justified in feeling this way."
Do you see what is actually going on here? We are not only feeling envious of someone, but we're also saying that our jealousy is the other person's fault! That's simply not true. We are each 100 per cent responsible for our own feelings of envy.
Jealousy is a product of the flesh. In the Bible, it is listed among such sins as idolatry, immorality, drunkenness, and sorcery—sins which stand against our holy GOD and are described as "earthly, natural, demonic" (Gal. 5:17-21; James 3: 15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.).
Envious feelings can lead to unhealthy comparison of one's own success to someone else's. That pattern can grow into a competition to out-perform others—and may result in full-blown fear and resentment. What a horrible way to live!
Though jealousy is a common emotion, it has no place in a true believer's life. So each of us should try to look objectively at our heart motives. Are you plagued with an attitude of jealousy today? Lay your honest feelings out before the LORD, and ask HIM to cleanse you of this sinful attitude.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

Identifying Insecurity
Psalm 139:13-16
13 For YOU created my inmost being;
YOU knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise YOU because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
   YOUR works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from YOU
when I was made in the secret place,
when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.
16 YOUR eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in YOUR book
before one of them came to be.
Let me ask you to do what may be an uncomfortable exercise. We are going to examine statements that insecure people often make about themselves. As you read each one, ask yourself, do I think similarly?
Insecure people make comments like:
Why bother trying? I'll never get it right.
Everyone is looking at me, just waiting for me to make a fool of myself.
I'm a failure.
I am ugly and awful to look at.
I can never win. I'm just a loser.
No matter how hard I work, I never get any recognition.
I am incompetent at everything.
Nobody could ever speak well about me.
I have failed before; once a failure, always a failure.
I don't see how anyone could ever like, respect, or accept me.
I don't deserve to be treated well.
I don't fit here or anywhere else.
Everyone else looks so "together." I feel "out of it" compared to them.
I am an incomplete person, and nothing can change that.
Why would anyone care to hear what I have to say?
No one cares about what I think or feel.
People are nice to me only when they want something from me.
Did any of the above statements ring true for you? Prayerfully consider the ones that got your attention. Then, take those specific fears to the LORD, and allow HIM to show you HIS truth in each area. GOD wants to set you free from anything hindering your spiritual development.
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

Job 12:4 "I am one mocked by his friends. Who called on GOD and HE answered him. The just and blameless who is ridiculed."
Dear Brothers n Sisters,
GOD had called job a "blameless and upright man, one who fears GOD and shuns evil" (Job 1:8) and yet Job's friends mock and ridiculed him in his distress. When will we learn the truth of what JESUS said "If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent." (Matt 12:7).
GOD wants us to show love, mercy and compassion towards members of HIS family who is in distress, not to mock, ridicule or judge them.
The LORD require of you, to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your GOD. (Macah 6:8)

Brokenness - GOD allows hardship to shape us.

John 12:20-26

20 Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. 21 They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see JESUS.” 22 Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told JESUS.

23 JESUS replied, “The hour has come for the SON of MAN to be glorified. 24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves ME must follow ME; and where I am, MY servant also will be. MY FATHER will honour the one who serves ME.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Do you desire GOD’s best in life? And do you hope to become the person HE created you to be, able to accomplish all HE has planned? Most likely, your answer is affirmative to both questions. But are you willing for the LORD to do whatever is necessary to bring about full submission in your life?

This third inquiry oftentimes does not receive a resounding “yes.” Yet in order for us to enjoy the best of GOD’s blessings and to blossom into the people we were designed to be, we have to surrender our will. Let me be the first to admit that it is not an easy process.

All of us have certain desires and habits that we simply do not want to relinquish. Today’s passage teaches us that dying to ourselves is necessary before we can truly live for GOD.

As you would expect, that is inevitably painful. It would be much easier if we could just choose to give up our stubborn wills. But according to Scripture, when we become believers, we retain unrighteous behaviour patterns, which can be rather ingrained. GOD has to permit enough difficulty to enter our lives so that our old “flesh” tendencies are broken. Only then can we yield our hearts to the LORD without reservation.

Though it is hard to understand, our heavenly FATHER allows pain because of HIS great love. Just as a parent hates for his child to hurt, GOD takes no pleasure in our difficulty. But HE so desires that we experience fullness of life in CHRIST that HE allows hardship to shape us.

We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

Rom 11:22 - Therefore consider the goodness and severity of GOD: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in HIS goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
Dear Brothers n Sisters.
Paul urges us to remember that GOD is loving and holy, gracious and just, patient and faithful to all HIS WORD.
" . . . We know what it is to fear the LORD, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to GOD, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience." (2 Cor 5:11).
Therefore, we must rely on the SPIRIT of our LORD to help us "Produce fruit in keeping with repentance." (Matt 3:8).

Handling Difficult Circumstances
Philippians 3:8-11
8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing CHRIST JESUS my LORD, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain CHRIST 9 and be found in HIM, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in CHRST—the righteousness that comes from GOD on the basis of faith. 10 I want to know CHRIST—yes, to know the power of HIS resurrection and participation in HIS sufferings, becoming like HIM in HIS death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The apostle Paul understood how to handle tough circumstances. Even while he was confined in a prison cell, he kept his eyes on CHRIST and trusted firmly in the SAVIOUR. Therefore, despite being in chains, he was able to celebrate the LORD’s work in his life. In fact, the epistle he wrote from jail to the Philippians was filled with rejoicing (Philippians 1: 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, CHRIST is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,; 2: 18 So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.; 3: 1 Further, my brothers and sisters, rejoice in the LORD! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.).
Focusing on CHRIST is neither a natural reaction nor an easy one. Our instinct is to dwell on the situation at hand, searching for solutions or stewing over the pain and difficulty. As a result, troubles look scary and overwhelm us with a sense of defeat.
However, fear and defeat cannot live long in a heart that trusts the LORD. I’m not saying you’ll forget what you’re going through, but you can choose to dwell on HIS provision and care instead. HE is the Deliverer (2 Cor. 1:10). HE is the Healer (Deut. 32:39). HE is the Guide (Prov. 3:6).  The true and obedient believer who lays claim to divine promises discovers that GOD pushes back negative emotions. In their place, hope, confidence, and contentment take up residence (Phil. 4:11). You aren’t going to be happy about a difficult situation, but you can be satisfied that GOD is in control and is doing something good for HIS obedient followers in the midst of trouble.
The LORD’s principles and promises don’t change, no matter how severe or painful the situation is. Focus on CHRIST instead of the circumstances—GOD will comfort your heart and bring you safely through all the trials when you love HIM and obey HIS teachings. Then you can answer Paul’s call to “rejoice in the LORD always” (Phil. 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!).
We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.

1:16 这一等是出于爱心,知道我是为辩明福音设立的;

Focus on GOD and you be an all time Winner

Philippians 1:12-20

Paul’s Chains Advance the Gospel

12 Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. 13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for CHRIST. 14 And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the LORD and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.

15 It is true that some preach CHRIST out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defence of the gospel. 17 The former preach CHRIST out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, CHRIST is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, 19 for I know that through your prayers and GOD’s provision of the SPIRIT of JESUS CHRIST what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. 20 I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always CHRIST will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Paul did not picture himself as a victim. Despite tremendous physical discomfort and emotional turmoil, he believed he was under GOD’s sovereign hand. So instead of growing resentful and walking away from the faith, the apostle turned to the LORD and continued to mature spiritually.

We can learn much from Paul—He was determined to focus on GOD’s sovereignty rather than his own will. It’s easy to be bitter over the mayhem that another person has caused in our lives. However, the minute we start thinking that our enemies are in control, we’re defeated. The Bible says that GOD “has established HIS throne in the heavens, and HIS sovereignty rules over all” (Ps. 103: 19 The LORD has established HIS throne in heaven, and HIS kingdom rules over all.). HE is in absolute control. We may not understand HIS reasons for permitting hardship or pain in our lives, but HIS plan is always for our good and HIS glory (Jer. 29: 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.).

Moreover, true believers can learn from Paul’s commitment to focus on positive results rather than on personal agony. Pain, whether in the body or the heart, often absorbs all of a person’s attention. But there is no victory to be had in dwelling on our hurts. GOD has a plan for that anguish, and Paul is a good example. He rejoiced when the gospel spread to the Praetorian Guard—his jailers.

Difficult circumstances are crossroads in the believer’s life. If we take the path of blaming GOD for our strife, we’ll be dealing with resentment and negativity. But if we focus on our heavenly FATHER’s love and provision (- "For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life". John 3:16), we will find trust and hope as we seek to go HIS way.

We give thanks to GOD, the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, for this day and for you, faithful brothers and sisters.
