The experiment will be conducted in my lab and will not last more than <B><B>1.5 hours</B></B>. The problem is all related to everyday phenomena about air resistance. </FONT>The problems are qualitative (that is, there are no numbers) and ask for explanation of phenomenon (such as why one object falls faster than the other in the air), but it is hoped that students can approach them from multiple and diverse perspectives instead of simply getting the answers right by applying Newton’s laws directly. You are encouraged to use Common sense and everyday experiences in explanation.

They should be mentally active, extrovert and good at collaboration and articulation.

<LI class=MsoNormal style="TEXT-JUSTIFY: inter-ideograph; LINE-HEIGHT: 150%; TEXT-ALIGN: justify"><FONT face=宋体 size=3>Students should be in <B><B>Sec 4, JC1 or JC2 </B></B>and they <FONT color=navy>should</FONT> come in pairs to enhance quality of collaboration<FONT color=navy>. This means that if you want to come, you should bring a partner who is also qualified.</FONT>

The performance will be judged on the fruitfulness of the discussion, the number of ideas generated, and the quality and novelty of the ideas. </FONT></LI></UL>
