Commiseration is the word. No matter what the mother did. I think she regretted about everything. She gave birth to her and brought her here. Things wasn't good for her with the devil. The devil had killed her not the mother. She is the saddest of all be it what her wrong deed, for this moment of time/she is the saddest, at least.
