The tone （语气〕is definitely informal as contraction like 'they're' and slang like 'jerks' are used.</P><P>My Chinese is not good enough to do a free translation but I'll try:</P><P>假如他们能有一半的胜任能力传统的答复是忍受（接受〕他们－因为通过培训能改变性情古怪但能胜任（工作〕的人，而不能改变爱讨人喜欢行动笨拙缺乏经验的。</P>

Yes, thanks. That's excellent except for the word 'jerks' ...how would you put it into Chinese in this context...
