PAP won the General Election. Became Prime Minister.

One of 15 MPs from Singapore to the Parliament of Malaysia, from 16 September 1963 until 9 August 1965, when Singapore separated from the Federation.
Won General Elections 8 times (1959, 1963, 1968, 1972, 1976, 1980, 1984 and 1988) under his premiership.

Resigned as Prime Minister.
Appointed Senior Minister by Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong.
