不服从上帝的命令是犯罪

服从主耶稣的命令会带来丰盛的祝福，

不服从主耶稣的命令会带来严重的后果。

耶稣回答说：“人若爱我就必遵守我的道，我父也必爱他，并且我们要到他那里去与他同住，不爱我的人就不遵守我的道。你们所听见的道不是我的，乃是差我来之父的道。我还与你们同住的时候，已将这些话对你们说了。但保惠师，就是父因我的名所要差来的圣灵，祂要将一切的事指教你们，并且要叫你们想起我对你们所说的一切话（约翰福音14:23-26）

亲爱的弟兄姊妹们，造物主曾给亚当和夏娃两个命令：第一，生养众多遍满全地，并治理这地；第二，不可吃园里那棵指定树上的果子（创世纪1:28 神就赐福给他们，又对他们说：“要生养众多，遍满地面，治理这地，也要管理海里的鱼、空中的鸟和地上各样行动的活物；2:17只是分别善恶树上的果子，你不可吃，因为你吃的日子必定死”）。然而他们选择了违背上帝的命令，以致他们与上帝的关系破裂，不得不离开伊甸园。  

这第一对人类夫妻的悖逆，不仅严重影响到他们自己的生命，也深远广泛地殃及后人的生命，使所有世代的人类都深受其害。在罗马书5:12-19里，使徒保罗解释了原因：因为亚当一人的犯罪，就使罪进入了世界，死亡就临到了全人类。亚当是人类的始祖，所以他的行为会影响所有后世出生的人，他的悖逆导致我们每个人都有一个远离上帝的本性和要自主的欲望。

相比亚当，主耶稣是将顺服上帝的旨意作为祂生命的首要，在言语和行为上祂都是完完全全地服从上帝（约翰福音8:28-29所以耶稣说：“你们举起人子以后必知道我是基督，并且知道我没有一件事是凭着自己作的。我说这些话，乃是照着父所教训我的。那差我来的是与我同在，祂没有撇下我独自在这里，因为我常作祂所喜悦的事”）。主耶稣活出了一个毫无罪恶的完美生命，惟有祂才有资格作为我们的救主（哥林多后书5:21 神使那无罪的，替我们成为罪，好叫我们在祂里面成为 神的义）。因为耶稣基督一人的死，为全人类偿还了罪债，上帝接纳了祂儿子的牺牲，所以使我们的罪得到赦免，并且把我们从罪的权势下释放出来。  

亚当的悖逆，使审判和死亡临到我们；然而，主耶稣的服从，使所有信靠祂的人得到新的生命（罗马书6:4所以我们借着洗礼归入死，和祂一同埋葬，原是叫我们一举一动有新生的样式，像基督借着父的荣耀从死里复活一样）。我们的救主呼召我们要除去私欲，舍己来跟从祂（马太福音16:24于是耶稣对门徒说：“若有人要跟从我，就当舍己，背起他的十字架来跟从我”）。活出一个神性的生命，不仅能够为主耶稣带来荣耀，也能为祂影响更多的人。

【一个真正的门徒（基督徒）应是：】

* 遵行圣灵的训导（提摩太后书2:15 你当竭力在 神面前得蒙喜悦，作无愧的工人，按着正意分解真理的道）

* 参加真信徒的聚会（希伯来10:25你们不可停止聚会，好像那些停止惯了的人，倒要彼此劝勉。既知道那日子临近，就更当如此）

* 被圣灵充满并被圣灵带领（罗马书8:14因为凡被 神的灵引导的，都是 神的儿子；以弗所5:18不要醉酒，酒能使人放荡，乃要被圣灵充满【满有圣灵的果实】）

* 关心别人，而不是只顾自己（腓立比2:3-4凡事不可结党、不可贪图虚浮的荣耀，只要存心谦卑，各人看别人比自己强。各人不要单顾自己的事，也要顾别人的事）

* 按各人的恩赐来侍奉上帝（彼得前书4:11若有讲道的，要按着 神的圣言讲；若有服事人的，要按着 神所赐的力量服事。叫 神在凡事上因耶稣基督得荣耀，原来荣耀权能都是祂的，直到永永远远。阿们）

* 凡事祷告（腓立比4:6-7应当一无挂虑，只要凡事借着祷告、祈求和感谢，将你们所要的告诉 神。 神所赐出人意外的平安，必在基督耶稣里保守你们的心怀意念。帖撒罗尼迦前书5:17不住地祷告）

* 带领新信徒成为门徒（提摩太后书2:2你在许多见证人面前听见我所教训的，也要交托那忠心能教导别人的人）

* 靠着上帝而常存喜乐（以赛亚61:10我因耶和华大大欢喜，我的心靠 神快乐。因祂以拯救为衣给我穿上，以公义为袍给我披上，好像新郎戴上华冠，又像新妇佩戴妆饰。帖撒罗尼迦前书5:16要常常喜乐）

研经：罗马书5:12-19

5:12 这就如罪是从一人入了世界，死又是从罪来的，于是死就临到众人，因为众人都犯了罪。  

5:13 没有律法之先，罪已经在世上。但没有律法，罪也不算罪。  

5:14 然而从亚当到摩西死就作了王，连那些不与亚当犯一样罪过的也在他的权下，亚当乃是那以后要来之人的预像。  

5:15 只是过犯不如恩赐，若因一人的过犯，众人都死了，何况 神的恩典与那因耶稣基督一人恩典中的赏赐，岂不更加倍的临到众人么？

5:16 因一人犯罪就定罪，也不如恩赐。原来审判是由一人而定罪，恩赐乃是由许多过犯而称义。  

5:17 若因一人的过犯，死就因这一人作了王，何况那些受洪恩又蒙所赐之义的，岂不更要因耶稣基督一人在生命中作王么？

5:18 如此说来，因一次的过犯，众人都被定罪；照样，因一次的义行，众人也就被称义得生命了。  

5:19 因一人的悖逆，众人成为罪人；照样，因一人的顺从，众人也成为义了。

在此，我们夫妻感谢上帝，我们主耶稣基督的父，赐给我们美好的一天，也赐给我们你们这些忠心于主的弟兄姊妹们。

Disobedience to JESUS’ commands will bring serious consequence

John 14: 23 Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. 24 Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

The CREATOR gave two commands to Adam and Eve—first, to fill the earth and rule over it, and second, not to eat from a certain tree in the Garden (Gen. 1: 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” ; Gen. 2: 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”). Because they chose to disobey, their relationship with GOD was broken, and they had to leave Eden.

The first couple’s rebellion not only impacted their own lives but also had far broader implications: all future generations have suffered. In Romans 5:12-19, the apostle Paul explained the reason. Through the trespass of one man, Adam, sin made its entrance into the world, and death resulted for all mankind. Because Adam was head of the human race, his actions affected everyone born after him. His disobedience resulted in each of us having a bent away from the Lord and a desire for self-rule.

By contrast, Jesus made conformity to the Lord’s will the priority of His life. He obeyed God in both word and deed (John 8: 28 So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. 29 The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.”). Having lived a perfect life—one entirely without sin—He qualified to be our Savior (2 Cor. 5: 21 GOD made HIM who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in HIM we might become the righteousness of GOD.). Through the death of one man, CHRIST JESUS, payment was made for the transgressions of all mankind. GOD’s acceptance of the SON’s sacrifice brought us forgiveness and freedom from sin’s power.

Adam’s disobedience brought judgment and death upon us, whereas JESUS’ obedience resulted in new life for all who believe in HIM (Rom. 6: 4 We were therefore buried with HIM through baptism into death in order that, just as CHRIST was raised from the dead through the glory of the FATHER, we too may live a new life.). Our SAVIOR calls us to deny selfish desires, live sacrificially, and follow HIM (Matt. 16: 24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.). A godly life will bring JESUS honor and influence others for HIM.

A True Disciple [Christian] is:

D – Disciplined in his/her relationship with GOD (2 Timothy 2: 15 Do your best to present yourself to GOD as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the WORD of truth.)

I – Involved in a gathering of true believers (Hebrews 10: 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.)

S – SPIRIT-filled & SPIRIT led (Romans 8: 14 For those who are led by the SPIRIT of GOD are the children of GOD.; Ephesians 5: 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with Fruit of the HOLY SPIRIT,)

C – Concerned for others rather than self (Philippians 2: 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.)

I – Involved in serving GOD in his/her area of giftedness (1 Peter 4: 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of GOD. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength GOD provides, so that in all things GOD may be praised through JESUS CHRIST. To HIM be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.)

P – Prayerful in all things (Philippians 4: 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to GOD. 7 And the peace of GOD, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in CHRIST JESUS., 1 Thessalonians 5: 17 pray continually,)

L – Leading others to become disciples (2 Timothy 2: 2 And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.)

E – Enjoying GOD always (Isaiah 61: 10 I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my GOD. For HE has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of HIS righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels., 1Thessalonians 5: 16 Rejoice always,)

Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ

12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. 14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

15 But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did GOD’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, JESUS CHRIST, overflow to the many! 16 Nor can the gift of GOD be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive GOD’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, JESUS CHRIST!

18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

上帝的宽恕

次日，约翰看见耶稣来到他那里，就说：“看哪，神的羔羊，除去世人罪孽的。”（约翰福音1:29）

平安弟兄姊妹们，“主耶稣来除去了世人的罪孽”，你能否深刻认识到这句话的含义？它意味着：上帝透过主耶稣的宝血，已经彻底除去了罪对你的捆绑，作为一个重生的基督徒，你可以不再活在罪里，永远地走出罪的笼罩。

你要明白，摆脱罪的笼罩并不能保证从此你就有一个无罪的生命，你时刻都可能跌倒又陷入罪里。但是，上帝给了你一个承诺，祂说：“我指着耶稣的宝血向你起誓，只要你承认你的罪并且悔改，我就会赦免你的罪，洗净你一切的不义。”

罗马书 6:16 岂不晓得你们献上自己作奴仆，顺从谁就作谁的奴仆吗？或作罪的奴仆，以至于死；或作顺命的奴仆，以至成义。  

你要顺服罪的欲望，还是服从上帝的命令？你是罪的奴隶，还是上帝的奴仆？主耶稣说：“我实实在在地告诉你们，所有犯罪的就是罪的奴仆” （约翰福音8:34  ）。你可以控制你的手脚不去犯罪，可以让自己离开罪恶，也可以停止[关键词屏蔽]的行为。虽然你能控制你的手脚不犯罪，但却不能阻止你的意念不犯罪，也无法控制你的舌头不犯罪。可是你可以训练自己，学会控制你的眼睛、意念远离诱惑你犯罪的事物。敬畏上帝，就是要远离罪恶。如果你的手不拒绝犯罪，也不停止你犯罪的脚步，那你就不是真诚地寻求上帝。因为在你能够控制自己不犯罪时，你却没有悔改“罪根”。遵从你所懂得的上帝的教导，悔改你能够悔改的罪，以致成义。当你明知可以选择不去犯罪，但还是故意犯罪，那么你就是在背叛你寻求上帝的真诚。这样你不要妄想能从上帝得到任何的帮助，直到你向上帝表明，对你能够悔改的罪，你真的悔改了。

如果你谦卑地悔改并得到了上帝的宽恕，那你完全能够不再活在罪的笼罩之下。

“可是维德兄，我对我所犯的罪感到很难过!”

你对自己的所作所为有什么感觉不重要，重要的是你要靠着有行动的信心，赶快悔改！学会“一意识到犯了罪，就果断地悔改”，然后你就可以站起来，讽刺地笑对魔鬼。

记得有一次，我准备去做一件特别的事工，可是当时我忘了原本有传道聚会，后来忽然我想起来了，我就为此非常内疚，向上帝说：“主啊，我不能去聚会了，因为我安排了别的事工，请你让另一个传教士去吧，今晚我不去那里侍奉你了。”突然，圣灵在我里面说：“维德，你这样做向我认罪了吗？”我说：“是的，我向你认罪了。”“那你是把耶稣牺牲的宝血看作是可践踏的吗？”“哦，亲爱的上帝，不是的。”我回答。“可是，你现在不就是在践踏吗？”祂说，“我向你保证，当你在我面前认罪，我就赐给你我的话语，我不单会宽恕你，还把你的罪洗净，并且把你这个“忘记”的罪丢进忘记的海里。好了，现在把这件事从心里释怀吧。”

我告诉你，我立刻就卸下了“包袱”，大步奔去事工。那天我讲的道是“关于上帝的宽恕”，讲了两个半小时。

不要让你的内疚和自卑夺去你所拥有的主耶稣宝血的大能，你要悔改并靠着有行动的信心，在今天就走出罪的笼罩，进入上帝宽恕的光芒中。

GOD forgive

"The next day John seeth JESUS coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1:29)

Shalom Brothers and Sisters,

JESUS came to take away sin. Do you realize what that means? It means that GOD, through the blood of JESUS, has so completely done away with the power of sin that you, as a born-again believer, can live as if it never existed. You can step out from under sin’s shadow once and for all。

But understand now, stepping out from under sin's shadow doesn't guarantee living a sinless life. You still might stumble from time to time and fall into sin. But you have a promise from GOD, sworn in the blood of JESUS that says when you confess and repent that sin, HE's faithful and just to forgive you of it and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Romans 6:16 - Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves to obey, you are the slaves of whom you obey; whether of sin that leads to death, or of obedience that leads to righteousness?

Do you obey the desire to sin, or do you obey the commands of God. You are a slave to sin, or a slave to God. Jesus said: If you sin, you are a slave to sin. John 8:34. You do have control of your hands and feet; you can turn from evil; you can stop committing acts of sexual immorality. You can't stop your mind from sinning, you can't control your tongue from sinning, but you can control you feet and hands; and you can learn to control your eyes, by practicing looking away from what tempts you. The fear of God is to turn away from evil. If you don't stop sinning by reaching out with your hands to commit evil, and running to evil with your feet, you are not sincerely seeking God — you have failed to repent from the basics under your control. Obedience to what you understand, and what you are able, leads to righteousness. If you deliberately sin, when you could have chosen not to, then you are betraying your sincerity in seeking GOD; and you can expect to receive little to no help, until you show a true turning away from the evil of which you are able.

You don't have to live under the shadow of that sin five seconds if you have sense enough to repent and receive God's forgiveness.

"Oh, but Brother Victor, I just feel so bad about it!"

It doesn't make any difference how you feel about it. Do it by faith. Learn to be quick to repent of your sin. Then stand up and laugh in the devil's face.

I remember one time in particular when I was in that situation. I'd missed it something awful, and I was supposed to go preach that night. I felt so guilty that I just told the LORD I wasn't going to go. "LORD, YOU'll just have to get YOURSELF another preacher tonight because I'm not going over there to that service." Suddenly the SPIRIT spoke up inside me. "Did you confess that sin before ME, Victor?"

"Yes, I did."

"Do you account the blood of JESUS by which you're sanctified as an unholy thing?"

"Oh, dear GOD, no!" I answered.

"That's what you're standing there doing," HE said. "I gave you MY Word that when you confess your sin before ME, I would not only forgive you of it, but I'd cleanse it and cast it into a sea of forgetfulness. Now it's not good taste for you to keep bringing it up."

I'm telling you, I dropped the matter right then and marched into that service and preached for two and a half hours on the forgiveness of GOD!

Don't let feelings of guilt and unworthiness rob you of the power of JESUS' blood. Repent and step out by faith from under the shadow of sin into the mighty light of GOD's forgiveness today!

不要低估你对上帝的重要事工

圣经里每次提及推基古，都是说他受使徒保罗的差使（保罗当时被囚于罗马）（使徒行传20:4同他到亚西亚去的，有庇哩亚人毕罗斯的儿子所巴特、帖撒罗尼迦人亚里达古和西公都，还有特庇人该犹、并提摩太，又有亚西亚人推基古和特罗非摩。以弗所6:21今有所亲爱忠心事奉主的兄弟推基古，他要把我的事情并我的景况如何，全告诉你们叫你们知道。提摩太后书4:12我已经打发推基古往以弗所去。提多3:12我打发亚提马或是推基古到你那里去的时候，你要赶紧往尼哥波立去见我，因为我已经定意在那里过冬）。从某种意义上说，他是保罗的“信差”。

保罗写到：今有所亲爱忠心事奉主的兄弟推基古，他要把我所有的事情告诉你们知道（以弗所6:21）；有我亲爱的兄弟推基古，要将我一切的事都告诉你们。他是忠心的执事，和我一同作主的仆人。我特意打发他到你们那里去，好叫你们知道我们的光景，同时也让他知道你们的境况，又叫他安慰你们的心（歌罗西4:7-8）。  

亲爱的弟兄姊妹们，我们可能不禁会评价推基古的事工是不太重要的，尤其与保罗的事工相比。但是，你是否认识到推基古替保罗送信给很多教会，这对传扬上帝的话语是一个重要部分？难道不重要吗？当然很重要。推基古肩负了一项重要使命，他也是尽心竭力地完成了他的使命。

不论你现在的事工是什么，你是否愿意让推基古的示例来激励你完成你的重要使命？同时你当做到：以仁慈和爱心对待身边的人、尊敬你的家人和朋友、将上帝的话语分享给基督徒和非基督徒、敬重你的父母等所有善行。

Do not under estimate your own crucial ministry in serving GOD.

Each time Tychicus is mentioned in Scripture (Acts 20:4 And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus. Eph. 6: 21 But that ye also may know my affairs , and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things : 2 Tim 4: 12 And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. Titus 3: 12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter. he is running errands for apostle Paul , then a prisoner in Rome. In a sense , he is Paul’s “messenger boy.”

Paul himself wrote “Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things about me (Eph. 6: 21) All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord: Whom I have sent unto you，for the same purpose, that he might know your estate , and comfort your hearts” (Col. 4:7,8).

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We might feel tempted to evaluate Tychicus’s ministry as minor, especially when compared to Paul. But do you realize that Tychicus delivered Paul’s messages to several churches and thus played a major part in distributing the WORD of GOD? Is that unimportant? Absolutely not! Tychicus had a crucial ministry, and he fulfilled it.

Will you allow Tychicus （come）to inspire you to fulfil your own crucial ministry, whatever it is ? Showing kindness and love to others, show respect to your friends and family, sharing GOD’s WORD to believers and unbelievers, honour your father and mother etc.

Grace be with all those who love our LORD JESUS CHRIST in sincerity. Amen.

上帝的话语

要得智慧、要得聪明，不可忘记、也不可偏离我口中的言语。不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你；要爱她，她就保守你（箴言 4:5-6）

亲爱的弟兄姊妹们，最近上帝兴起日益加增的饥渴慕义的人们，他们热切渴望要更深入地懂得上帝，热切渴望要更进一步地侍奉上帝---不论是在讲道台上，还是在事工中、在家里、在写字楼里，在上帝拣选差派他们去的任何一个地方。

他们不是只简单地满足于找到一条阻力最小的途径，驶向天国。不，他们决心参加赛跑，他们跑，正如使徒保罗所讲的，是要争得奖赏；就灵上而言，他们是在奔向优秀。

你也在他们中间吗？

如果是的话，那么我要跟你分享11个简单的字：把上帝的话语放在第一位。我相信，这几个字能够让你如胜利者一样地跑这场比赛。

无论你的目标是作一名优秀的传道人，还是作侍奉上帝的一流工程师，你的智慧只源自上帝的话语，只有上帝的话语才能使你实现你的目标。

主耶稣这样说：“你们要先求祂的国和祂的义，这些东西都要加给你们了”（马太福音6:33）

所以，现在就把自己降服于上帝，不顾一切地让自己充满上帝的话语，抓住每一刻可用的时间来读经、研经、听经和默想上帝的话语。

我知道做到这些并不容易，但是如果你立定心志要在耶稣基督的事工中有所作为，那么你就要决心认真担负这个大使命，然后付出你的勤奋努力。将上帝的话语放在第一位，那么荣耀的胜利必定在你的前面。

研经：箴言4:1-18

4:1 众子阿，要听父亲的教训，留心得知聪明。  

4:2 因我所给你们的是好教训，不可离弃我的法则。  

4:3 我在父亲面前为孝子，在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。  

4:4 父亲教训我说，你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。  

4:5 要得智慧、要得聪明，不可忘记、也不可偏离我口中的言语。  

4:6 不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你；要爱她，她就保守你。  

4:7 智慧为首，所以要得智慧。在你一切所得之内，必得聪明。

4:8 高举智慧，她就使你高升；怀抱智慧，她就使你尊荣。

The WORD of GOD

"Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee." (Proverbs 4:5-6)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Recently, GOD has been raising up ever-growing numbers of people who are hungry. Hungry to know their LORD in a deeper way. Hungry to serve HIM--in pulpits, on mission fields, in homes, in office buildings, and anywhere else HE might choose to send them.

They are people who simply aren't content to find the path of least resistance and coast their way into heaven. No, they're determined to run the race...to run, as the apostle Paul said, to obtain the prize. Spiritually speaking, they are on the road to excellence.

Are you among them?

If so, I want to share four simple words that, I believe, will enable you to run the race like a winner:

Put the GOD’s WORD first.

Whether your goal is to be an excellent evangelist or a first-rate engineer in the service of the LORD, it is the wisdom that comes from the WORD of GOD that will get you there.

JESUS said it this way: "Seek ye first the kingdom of GOD, and HIS righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33).

So commit yourself right now to do whatever it takes to totally saturate yourself with the WORD of GOD. Use every available moment to read, study, listen to, and meditate on it.

I know it won't be easy, but if you've made a definite decision to amount to something in the ministry of JESUS CHRIST and you are determined to take the Great Commission seriously, then be diligent. Put the WORD first

and there will surely be glorious victories ahead.

Scripture Study:  Proverbs 4:1-18

4:1 Listen, my sons, to a father's instruction; pay attention and gain understanding.

4:2 I give you sound learning, so do not forsake my teaching.

4:3 When I was a boy in my father's house, still tender, and an only child of my mother,

4:4 he taught me and said, "Lay hold of my words with all your heart; keep my commands and you will live.

4:5 Get wisdom, get understanding; do not forget my words or swerve from them.

4:6 Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you.

4:7 Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.

4:8 Esteem her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will honor you.

4:9 She will set a garland of grace on your head and present you with a crown of splendor."

4:10 Listen, my son, accept what I say, and the years of your life will be many.

4:11 I guide you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths.

4:12 When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.

4:13 Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life.

4:14 Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evil men.

4:15 Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn from it and go on your way.

4:16 For they cannot sleep till they do evil; they are robbed of slumber till they make someone fall.

4:17 They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.

4:18 The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
