Metal Recycling Lab Manager| 5 days| Near Jurong East|

Basic Salary: SGD 5,500 to SGD 6,500

Working days and hours: Monday to Friday (9am to 6pm)

Job Descriptions:

*Lab Management*

• Manage the laboratory's daily operations and analyzing of the precious metals content using scientific ways and any other duties related to the role.

• Manage laboratory set-ups including procurement and placement of all consumables, equipment, and fixtures.

• General maintenance of equipment and housekeeping of the laboratory.

• Monitoring the safety compliance of all lab consumables, equipment, and fixtures.

• Setting of the laboratory monthly and quarterly operational budget and monitor the budget closely.

• Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all analytical and laboratory equipment.

• Oversee related licenses applications.

*Lab Sampling*

Instruct team members to prepare and do testing of precious metals laden samples from spent auto catalysts, electronic waste, gold refining etc on time and responsible for the test results.

*Lab SOP*

Development of company's Standard Operating Procedures for the testing and analysis.

* Development & Implementation of new research.*

• In charge of the gold & silver testing, drive the identification of testing and analytical methodologies for the testing and refining of base and precious metals from Spent catalysts, jewelries, and other precious metals laden scrap.

• Manage ICP & XRF and New Research and development of analytical and recovery methods and procedures.

• Work with the business team and other team members to support the development of capability and skill set to perform sample analysis of Precious Metals and determine the most efficient recovery strategy.

• Responsible for the development and implementation of gold and silver testing and refining technologies, ensure that the laboratory testing and refining level meet the market transaction standards.

* Management of Team*

• Involved in the recruitment (Interviewing) & retention of Lab staff and their skills upgrading.

Job Requirements:

• At least Bachelor's Degree in chemistry or any other equivalent qualifications.

• Minimum 5 years of working experience of laboratory management experience.

• Familiar with ICP & XRF detection precious metal technology and have no less than 3 years of ICP & XRF laboratory testing experience.

• Have experience in setting up and overseeing up ICP & XRF Testing lab including the license application from the relevant authorities.

• Master gold and silver detection and recovery and refining technology will be an added advantage.

• Have experience choose and setting up of equipment and processes to recover precious metals recovery including gold, silver, platinum, palladium is an advantage. Having experience in recovery rhodium will be huge advantages

• Experience in ISO renewals will be an added advantage.

• Must be able to converse and read well in English.

• Analytical and critical thinking with an open mind for creativity.

• Ability to work at strategic level as well as possessing the discipline to handle details.

• Strong communications skills to interface and relate to the different strata in the organisation and cultures.
