日本語能力試験 JLPT
Japanese Language Proficiency Test
Organized by Japan Foundation & Japan Education Exchanges & Services (JEES) conducted by the Japanese Cultural Society of Singapore.
The objective of the test is to let Japanese language students know their level of proficiency as well as to enhance their enthusiasm for the learning of the language for mutual understanding among nations.
The test is made up of different sections:

Information on JLPT:
1. July Test: 1st Sunday of July (Registration is scheduled from mid-March to mid-April)
2. December Test: 1st Sunday of December (Registration is scheduled from end-August to end-September)
(Opening hours: from Mon to Fri, 2.30pm - 8.00pm, closed on Sat, Sun & public holidays)

Application Procedure:
A) To submit your application personally at the Japanese Cultural Society, please note that:
2 recent passport-size photos are required for registration.
The application form is chargeable at $2.00 per set.
Test Fee: Level N1: $65 / N2: $65 / N3: $65 / N4: $55 / N5: $55.

This is your guide to filling up the application form. You may encounter problems registering if you do not download the test guide.
Points to note:
As a rule, applicant is not allowed to register for more than one level of the test.
The 'address' that you provide on your online application will serve as your 'mailing address' for both your test voucher and your score report. If there is any changes in the address, please send an email to jlpt@jcss.org.sg to update the detail. (Tentative date for mailing of Test voucher: 5 November 2013 / Tentative date for mailing of Score Report: February 2014.)

Send 2 identical passport-size photos to the Japanese Cultural Society within 3 days from the date of submission of your application online.
Attach your photos on the 'Photo Form' and send it by post to:

Payment must be made online. Your application will not be processed if we do not receive your payment.
Your application is not confirmed if you do not receive our acknowledgement through email.
Please call the JCS Registration office at tel: if you do not receive our acknowledgement within one week from date of submission.
